      <image:caption>donald@racialequitypartners.com Donald is a founding member of Racial Equity Partners and a person in long term recovery. What that means is that he has been completely free from the use of all substances for over 22 years. Due to the disease of addiction he found himself trapped in the terrible realities of homelessness. In 1995, he completed a six-month treatment program. Since that time Whitehead has become one of the country’s leading advocates for recovery and homelessness.  In addition to his work as a Founding Member of Racial Equity Partners, Donald is Executive Director of the National Coalition for the Homeless, and previously served as Executive Director of the Greater Cincinnati Coalition for the Homeless, Assistant Director at St. Vincent de Paul of Baltimore, Program Director at Ohio Valley Goodwill, Grant Manager at Goodwill of Greater Washington and Director of Communications at Greenpeace Ohio. Donald served two terms as President of the board and currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the National Coalition for the Homeless, two terms on the Board of Directors for Faces and Voices of Recovery and two terms on the Georgetown Center for Cultural Competency. Donald served two terms on the state Coalition on Housing and Homelessness in Ohio, State of Maryland Drug and Alcohol Policy Council, Baltimore Ten Year Planning Committee to End Homelessness, and the Cincinnati Continuum of Care Board. Donald was one of only 100 advocates nationally to be invited to the first National Symposium on Homeless Research. Donald testified before committees in the 107th and 108th Congress, and, along with members of the staff of the offices of Representatives John Conyers, Julie Carson, Barbara Lee and the staff of the National Coalition, directed the creation of the “Bringing America Home Act,” the most comprehensive legislation to date to address homelessness in America. Donald has served on advisory committees for Presidents Bush, Clinton, Bush II and Obama. In 2005, He received a distinguished service award for his work on homelessness from the Congressional Black Caucus and an award of Special Recognition from Congress in 2008. In 2011, Donald completed the prestigious American Express Leadership Academy. The book Most Unlikely to Succeed chronicles Donald's journey from the streets of Cincinnati to speaking before Congress, speaking at the United Nations and dinners with the former President. Donald is based in Laurel, MD.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Jeff is a co-founder of Racial Equity Partners and founder of the Jeff Olivet Consulting Group. He has worked in the non-profit, for-profit, and government sectors—with a focus on homelessness, racial justice, affordable housing, public health, HIV, and behavioral health care—for more than 30 years. From 2022 to 2024 he served in the Biden-Haris Administration as Executive Director of the U.S. Interagency Council on Homelessness. A former outreach worker, case manager, and coalition builder, Jeff helped launch the Boston-based Center for Social Innovation (now C4 Innovations) in 2006 and was the company’s Chief Executive Officer from 2010 to 2018. Jeff led national efforts to disseminate and implement best practices across homelessness and housing programs, health care, behavioral health systems, and other agencies. At C4, Jeff was Director of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s (SAMHSA’s) national Homelessness Resource Center, and he was central to SAMHSA’s work to integrate peers in mental health and substance use programs. He has also been Principal Investigator on multiple studies funded by the National Institute of Mental Health which have examined best practices in online learning and dissemination.  Beginning in 2016, Jeff designed, launched, and served as Principal Investigator for the SPARC Initiative (Supporting Partnerships for Anti-Racist Communities), a multi-city effort to address structural racism and homelessness. He is lead author on multiple SPARC publications. As a consultant, he has worked with numerous agencies across the United States and internationally and is a recognized leader on racial equity and homelessness. Jeff is deeply committed to racial equity, social justice, and housing for all people. He holds a B.A. from the University of Alabama and an M.A. from Boston College. Jeff has two incredible children and lives in Washington, DC with his amazing wife Jessica.</image:caption>

Kavita is a leader with over 20 years experience driving equity and community impact. She has scaled innovative programs from concept to implementation, shaped and directed cohesive and well-performing teams, and stewarded multi-million dollar initiatives that have served people nationwide. Kavita leads with both strategic vision and deep empathy. Her leadership approach has engaged and empowered others to create equitable systems and services — from launching technology access programs that have reached thousands of families to orchestrating state and city collaborations between residents, government and service providers. She has worked to build bridges across diverse stakeholders while ensuring the voices of those being impacted remain central to decision-making. As Managing Director of REP since 2022, Kavita has led client engagement, helping institutions build more equitable workplace cultures and practices - through assessment, training, coaching and planning support. Kavita is also the Founder of Made for Me Books— a nonprofit that provides books to young people that represent a variety of cultures and stories, continuing her commitment to building a more inclusive world. Kavita holds a B.S. from Drexel University, an M.Ed. from Harvard Graduate School of Education and a Certificate in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in Human Resources.       <image:caption>Mayté is an experienced and passionate clinician, providing psychological assessment and support services to K-12 children and their families through MaytéPsychConsulting. She has been a practicing bilingual (English/Spanish) school psychologist for 14 years. Previously, Mayté was Director of Clinical Services at Heading Home, a greater Boston non-profit organization providing supportive services to families and individuals experiencing homelessness, where she has embedded trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, and other evidence-based practices in the organization’s programs. She has worked in the Boston area since 2012 and has ties with higher education institutions, with other local human services nonprofits, and with arts organizations in Boston and in neighboring Providence, Rhode Island. She has extensive experience in training, family and adult services, youth development, curriculum development, change implementation, and assessment/counseling of children and adults. Mayté holds a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in School Psychology, a Master of Science in Educational Psychology, and an Early Intervention Certificate from Northeastern University.  Mayté holds a master’s degree focused on Education, Policy and Management from Harvard University Graduate School of Education, and a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. Lastly, Mayté is a singer, a facilitator, an avid reader, a dancer, an advocate for equity, and a bilingual and bicultural professional. She is a life-long learner and the daughter of Bolivian parents (and professors), who raised her to see the worthiness in all people and in all causes that aim to achieve justice for everyone. Mayté currently resides in Providence, Rhode Island. Mayté has been working with Racial Equity Partners since early 2021.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Sarah Bryer (she/her) brings more than thirty years’ experience as a facilitative leader, network builder, agent for racial and social justice, and promoter of intersectional and holistic systems change who centers equity in all her work from problem analysis to data collection to organizational and program development. She brings three decades of experience as a non-profit executive working in criminal legal system transformation with a focus on policy, programs and the power of networks to accelerate movements. Most recently she was a Community Leadership Fellow with the W. K. Kellogg Foundation where she explored the power of narrative to promote racial healing and justice. Prior to her Fellowship, she was the founding Executive Director of the National Juvenile Justice Network for fourteen years. During her tenure she created and implemented an intensive and supportive pipeline leadership program for People of Color, the Youth Justice Leadership Institute, to increase support for leaders of color in the youth advocacy space. She also led the organization and its membership through a multi-year anti-racist change process. She received a bachelor’s degree with honors and distinction in anthropology from Stanford University and a master’s in public policy from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Cole Giannone (they/them) is the Director of Cole Giannone Consulting LLC providing capacity building, stakeholder engagement, system planning, project management and training to organizations and communities across the country. Cole recently worked at Amazon as the Student Programs Senior Program Manager for LGBTQ Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Prior to this, they acted as Senior Advisor for Youth Homelessness at the NYC Office of the Deputy Mayor for Health and Human Services. In partnership with many stakeholders, Cole secured NYC a $15M Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program award from HUD. They co-led the planning and implementation process resulting in NYC’s first ever plan to prevent and end youth homelessness: Opportunity Starts with a Home. At the start of their tenure in the Mayor’s Office, Cole coordinated the Mayor’s Youth Homelessness Taskforce, a cross-sector stakeholder community of 82 people representing government agencies, nonprofit providers, advocates and youth with lived experience aiming to prevent and end youth homelessness in NYC. Cole was responsible for overseeing the development, implementation and expansion of interagency initiatives focused on addressing youth homelessness. Prior to this, they spent seven years at the Ali Forney Center, a runaway homeless youth provider in NYC serving LGBTQ youth. There they started work as a frontline staff and left as the Director of Program Evaluation, Training and Advocacy helping to manage $8M in public funding. Cole has a B.S. in Communications from NYU and a M.S. in Nonprofit Management from the New School.</image:caption>
