Kavita is a Founding Member of Racial Equity Partners (REP) and a passionate advocate for equity and justice. Kavita is a leader with over 20 years experience driving equity and community impact. She has scaled innovative programs from concept to implementation, shaped and directed cohesive and well-performing teams, and stewarded multi-million dollar initiatives that have served people nationwide.
Kavita leads with both strategic vision and deep empathy. Her leadership approach has engaged and empowered others to create equitable systems and services — from launching technology access programs that have reached thousands of families to orchestrating state and city collaborations between residents, government and service providers. She has worked to build bridges across diverse stakeholders while ensuring the voices of those being impacted remain central to decision-making.
As Managing Director of REP since 2022, Kavita has led client engagement, helping institutions build more equitable workplace cultures and practices - through assessment, training, coaching and planning support.
Kavita is also the Founder of Made for Me Books— a nonprofit that provides books to young people that represent a variety of cultures and stories, continuing her commitment to building a more inclusive world. Kavita holds a B.S. from Drexel University, an M.Ed. from Harvard Graduate School of Education and a Certificate in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in Human Resources. Kavita lives in Harlem, New York with her family.
